We're updating our payment system and we need some feedback from you. Our current policy is to keep all prices as low as possible, however the problem with that is that we get a lot of extra, often hidden fees like the PayPal transaction fee for instance, extra fee for backups etc.. With all these fees it's very difficult to calculate how much your monthly cost will be. Therefore we suggest the following changes to be applied on all new plans:
Monthly discount
All plans would have a fixed and very straightforward monthly price listed on our pricing pages (i.e $10, $20, $40 etc...). The hourly price would be slightly higher than the monthly price divided by the number of hours in a month but the maximum price for a server would be the monthly price. This ensures a monthly discount for servers that exist for a longer time.
All fees included
We would include the Paypal (and other payment processor) fees in the monthly prices to avoid confusion. Tax would be deducted as usual where applicable.
Backup included
We've got some feedback on this area already and just removing unpaid servers doesn't seem like an option anymore, we've therefore decided that all servers will have backups enabled by default. Backups will be kept up to a month after a server is deleted due to a late payment. This service will not be free but at least it's a way to restore servers lost due to late payments.
Crypto payments
Payments made with crypto currencies will have up to 50% discount at all time. Thanks to this, our service will be cheaper than if you bought directly from our providers and you'll still have the advantages we offer that our providers charge extra for like free backup, real privacy, ability to deploy in multiple clouds and more.
Additional information
New prices would not affect already existing subscriptions.
