Ran out of space during update with yaourt

Using Arch Linux on G3 and update with yaourt fails due to not enough space on tmpfs, is there any way to fix this without having to upgrade the plan temporary?

Megan_Wilson Did you tried just resizing this filesystem? My vague guess at this that you just ran out of filesystem if not partition space.

Because just as long as you actually have the virtual disk space you should be able to do this without ordering more and having to worry about shrinking.

Push to shove you could always temporary spin up a block then delete it once your done with it.

Megan_Wilson Perhaps 'tmpfs' is mounted to your memory?

'yaourt' has an option to select a tmp directory, maybe you can use that to have 'tmp' files stored on disk instead. Try this to update with ''tmp' in your root file system.

yaourt -Syu --aur --tmp /var/tmp

Kauko_Laaksonen tried that as well, but I still have plenty of space on disk. 😕

Might wanna run df -h to see available space and check /etc/fstab to see where tmpfs is mounted.
