Pepe_The_Frog It's expensive in license fees It doesn't have much open source software GUI doesn't render any faster then any Linux DE over VNC or other remote protocols Terrible command line interface compared to bash and other shells Help me out people, Windows users in particular, what's the point of Windows?
nancycowart It's easier to administrate if you run Windows at home and are used to it. But you're right about it being expensive. I wish it was cheaper :/
Kauko_Laaksonen Yea I don't get the point with that, had wamp on windows once, that was enough to get the encryption worm. Not kidding, it was the default configuration. That, and it's ridiculously expensive in license fees.
James_Morgan Kauko_Laaksonen The "wamp worm", I guess you'd be better of running ISS or whatever M$ offers in web server way. But generally speaking I don't get the idea of Windows server either.
