What happens to existing servers and other resources?
No existing resources will be affected by this release, some information may display incorrectly in the old panel however during the upcoming days, while other parts of the old panel will be disabled once they stop working due to changes required for the new panel.

When will the new panel be officially released?
Sometime during Q4 2019, we'd prefer to roll it out slowly while testing to make sure that everything works and nothing breaks. No date is decided yet. However, parts of the old panel will be disabled one by one until it's completely gone and only the new panel exist.

Is it safe to use the old panel despite all the warnings and recommendations to switch to the new panel?
Yes. However, things will break and be removed from the old panel so there's not really a point in doing so. All your existing work is already available at the new panel.

I found a bug, what to do?
Please report any bugs or issues in the new panel to support(a)99stack.com, we'd be happy to fix them ASAP.

I want to suggest a new feature, how do I do that?
Please reply to this message, we're interested in any suggestion that would help improve the panel.

Looks nice, tho I've seen the link "dash.99stack.com" pop up here and there already since a few months back, and even when first logging in there, my impression was that it was already better than the old panel in all possible ways. Today it's even better and new updates seems to get merged in every day.

Sure, not all API features implemented yet but I guess those will be added eventually.

Allan_Virtanen Found it in API docs a few weeks ago, then it was suddenly removed a few hours later 😮 mistake or on purpose? I don't know but I've been using the panel since then and it's brilliant. I enjoy the links directly to relevant API docs to quickly access missing features. 👍️

Tommi_Nyman Most speculations are correct, slow adoption is the goal. But at the same time some updates do require the old panel to be removed before they can be implemented which is why we'd also like to speed up the process of moving everyone over to the new panel. An update to the old panel will be released soon, full of links to the new panel and update notices, some features will be disabled enforcing use of the new panel and so on.

Opinions on this would be appreciated, feel free to leave them here or contact support with your feedback. Both panels are currently up and running and in sync, but we don't know which one is most used or even most popular due to lack of monitoring. That's why feedback is very important.

Sebastian_Mannerheim Probably supposed to be slow adoption instead of making the switch for everyone at the exact same time, and face serious issues in the event of something goes wrong.

The_Moose I think the SSH key page should contain some information on how to create and use SSH keys, both in Windows and Linux environments. Maybe links to a more detailed support page and download links for software like Putty. Maybe also a JS based SSH key generator for newbies.

Kenneth_Crayton Might add information about how to generate and use SSH keys, but no online generator will be added. Your private keys should never touch our servers, basically: "not your keys, not your data".

This is great, so much faster than the old panel, more features available, more stable etc... still, it could be improved further tho but maybe that's the plan after backward compatibility is dropped. 🤔

Update:
Registration, password reset and account verification has now been disabled in the old panel, links are provided to corresponding page on the new panel. Billing pages has been partially disabled as well, please use the new panel to top up your balance, view transactions and billing history.

Within a few days, the old panel will be completely removed and links will be temporary updated to point to the new panel until the release of the new and updated main website.
